2025 Summer Reading Program

A chance for EVERYONE in the family to earn great rewards for reading!

Don't miss another great opportunity this summer to keep your children engaged at the library by participating in the Summer Reading Program! This year, the theme is Color Our World! Several libraries are offering the program from as young as birth to adulthood! Yes, moms and dads, you have the chance to win some awesome prizes too! Enter to win these prizes and raffles as a reward for reading books throughout the summer. (psst...did you know that audiobooks count too?!) Some of the libraries will be hosting a kick-off or end-of-summer party, so be sure to check the event calendar for your local branch to see what other fun activities are happening over the next couple of months too! Abington Library

Summer Reading Kick-Off Party

June 23rd from 4:00PM-6:00PM 

(located in the North parking lot)

No registration is required for the party. The party and summer reading program will be open to all ages! 

Enjoy ice cream and popsicles, book giveaways, music, face painting, craft projects for all ages, take and make for adults, bake sale and lemonade from the Friends, and of course...Summer Reading Sign-ups!

Wissahickon Valley Public Library

(Ambler/Blue Bell locations)

June 16th - August 16th

For children and teens of all ages!

All children and teens who participate with their reading logs are invited to our Summer Reading Party!  Your reading log is your entrance ticket to the party, so please bring it with you!  Party information is here. Registration is required. At the party, we will have t-shirts to give away, ice cream, crafts, and a free book of your choice to take home and keep! (All while supplies last). Visit the link above for TONS of fun events happening each week throughout the summer at both the Blue Bell AND Ambler libraries!

 

Cheltenham Libraries

(Glenside Location)

June 14th to August 6th

For ages from birth to adults!

Participants will track reading to earn prizes and raffle entries throughout the summer.
Once you’ve registered for the challenge on Beanstack, you’re ready to start reading and logging books! (Paper logs are available in our branches.)
Any book counts – library books, books from home, audiobooks, books read at storytime, ebooks, and books read over and over again all count.

Hatboro Library 

June 23rd - August 17th

Summer reading trackers and bingo sheets will be available at the front desk starting Monday, June 23rd! Our summer reading program is for all ages!

Horsham Library

June 16th - August 8th

Sign up for the online Summer Reading Challenge by clicking above or grab your paper copy from the Front Desk of the library beginning June 16th. Claim your prizes at the 10, 20, and 30-day marks, PLUS automatic entry for the GRAND PRIZE once you hit 30 days of reading!

Huntingdon Valley Library

June 21st - August 3rd

Everyone can participate! We have challenges for four different age groups: Emerging Readers – For babies through preschool. Elementary – For youth entering grades K-6 in the fall. Teens – For youth entering grades 7-12 in the fall. Adults – For all those older than high school age.

Jenkintown Library

starting June 21st

 Register for free at the circulation desk to receive reading calendars and other materials you’ll need throughout the summer. Ask any Jenkintown librarian for help and more information!

Springfield Township Library

June 12th to August 12th

Join in the fun with reading challenges for all ages at the library.

All reading counts! Earn prizes for reading this summer! Keep track of the days you read to earn rewards. Open to children of all ages. Babies and toddlers can earn crafts, toys, and free books. Children in Pre-K through 5th grade can earn coupons to local businesses and free books. Get a reward for every 10 days you read. You can register through the link above through Beanstack or if you prefer a paper log, please stop by the library and ask for one. 

Upper Dublin Public Library

June 23rd - August 10th

We welcome readers of all ages to explore the colorful world of books, self-expression, and artistic discovery. Take on engaging reading challenges tailored for kids, teens, and adults. Track your progress and earn fun rewards as you explore stories that inspire and spark creativity. Win exciting prizes and surprises for reaching your reading goals and participating in library events and challenges.

Upper Moreland Library

June 19th – August 17th

SummerQuest library programming is intended to promote life long learning & fun activities for all ages!  Prizes and more prizes! At Registration (starting June 19)– Stop by the Children’s Room or Information Desk to receive your registration prize! Complete the Challenge– and receive a special completion prize! GRAND PRIZES– One lucky participant from each age group will receive a grand prize. Each age group also has an awesome runner-up prize! Prizes will be on display at the library! Winner drawn after August 17, 2025.

Warminster Library

June 16th-August 3rd

Visit the library beginning June 9th to pick up a Summer Reading Program folder with event information, your reading log, a bookmark, and stickers. We will also have some optional materials, such as age-specific recommended reading lists and a Color Our World reading list. ** Register for Summer Reading before July for a chance to win Trenton Thunder tickets**
